2021 Cuvée Virginia Oregon Pinot Noir
Cuvée Virginia Oregon Pinot Noir is named in honor of our Mother and Grandmother, Dorothea Virginia Roosevelt, whose generosity during her lifetime and after has made these vineyards possible. The Cuvée is a barrel-selected blend of 100% Estate Grown Pinot Noir grapes from Torio Vineyard and Three Feathers Vineyard. These two Chehalem Mountains sites are only two miles apart, but at a four hundred foot difference in elevation.
Back after its previous 2018 vintage, our 2021 Cuvée Virginia is a perfect rendering of Three Feathers Pinot Noir in Laurelwood soils – fruity and smooth with a hint of spice. The predominant clones are Dijon 667, 115 and includes our rare Précoce clone for depth. Oregon’s 2021 growing season was exceptional for this fruit-forward, bright vintage which drinks easily by itself or paired with food.
Cuvée Virginia Tasting Notes
… Attractive cherries and raspberries and hints of spicy herbs, blue flowers and spice orange peel. Medium-bodied with sleek cherries and crunchy acidity.

Cuvée Virginia Tasting Notes
Cuvée Virginia is back from its previous vintage 2018 and we are thrilled! Barrel selected from our two high-elevation vineyards; Torio and Three Feathers Vineyards, this vintage is a perfect rendering of Three Feathers Pinot Noir in Laurelwood soils – fruity and smooth with a hint of spice.Vineyard Notes
The 2021 growing season was exceptional for this fruit-forward, bright vintage. The two vineyards were picked several weeks apart so the barrel-selected blend was created after the wines were aged for eight months. The predominant clones are Dijon 667, 115 and includes our rare Précoce clone for depth.Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand-harvested, sorted and pressed. The wine was kept in the vat for 21 days then barreled in neutral French oak for 10 months and bottled in late summer.Production

Three Feathers in the Press – Tasting Notes by Winerabble
We are pleased that online blogger, Winerabble, has written about our Laurelwood District AVA. Her articles include tasting notes for our 2020 Pinot Gris, 2018 Cuvée Virginia and 2017 Pinot Noir. You can follow the evolution of this unique Chehalem Mountains wine in the following year’s vintages. For example, our 2018 Reserve 667 and 2019 Pinot Noir are also made solely from Pinot Noir clone “Dijon 667” grown in Block One of Three Feathers.
