Three Feathers 2018 Reserve 667 Oregon Pinot Noir
Our Three Feathers 2018 Reserve 667 Oregon Pinot Noir is The Best of the Best. Three premium barrels of 2018 Pinot Noir Clone 667 from Three Feathers Block One were aged for 18 months in neutral French oak. The longer time in the barrel intensified the flavors and colors. This limited edition Pinot Noir sets a new standard of excellence.
The quality of the fine wind-blown Laurelwood soil creates a wine of lush complexity; ruby red with a hint of spice. We can definitely taste the black raspberries that were grown for many years at Three Feathers. Peppery, with deep cherry and blackberry flavors, this wine is smooth and well balanced with a slight acidity at the finish.

Tasting Notes
The Best of the Best, three premium barrels of 2018 Pinot Noir Clone 667 from Three Feathers Block 1 were aged for 18 months in neutral French oak. Vineyard Notes
Bud break was in early April this year, a full 4 weeks before previous years. The exceptional dryness pushed the sugars higher and flavors intensified. Selection for the Reserve 667 was made by tasting each barrel separately.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand-harvested, sorted and pressed. The wine was kept in the vat for 21 days then barreled in neutral French oak for 18 months and bottled in the spring of 2020.

Three Feathers in the Press – Tasting Notes by Winerabble
We are pleased that online blogger, Winerabble, has written about our Laurelwood District AVA. Her articles include tasting notes for our 2020 Pinot Gris, 2018 Cuvée Virginia and 2017 Pinot Noir. You can follow the evolution of this unique Chehalem Mountains wine in the following year’s vintages. For example, our 2018 Reserve 667 and 2019 Pinot Noir are also made solely from Pinot Noir clone “Dijon 667” grown in Block One of Three Feathers.
