Description
Three Feathers 2021 Madeleine Oregon Pinot Noir
Pinot Madeleine Tasting Notes
Three Feathers Pinot Madeleine is an early-ripening clone of Pinot Noir presenting a balanced acidity and long finish with notes of bramble-berry, raspberry and cherry.
Vineyard Notes
A rare, old-word clone of Pinot Noir, known as Pinot Noir Précoce, Pinot Madeleine, Frühburgunder, this grape has smaller berries and ripens a full two weeks earlier than standard Pinot Noir. Concentrated flavors and elegant aromatics define our second vintage.
The grapes are from our Torio Vineyard site at 1,200 feet in elevation.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand-harvested, sorted and pressed. The wine was kept in the vat for 21 days then barreled in neutral French oak to age for 10 months and bottled in late summer.
